Why is a STEAM Education Important?
STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integrates critical thinking and collaboration, preparing students for real-world challenges and fostering innovation in each of the key areas. Students at JASA are able to develop critical thinking skills and practical application of STEAM concepts through the integration of the engineering design process when they complete project-based or problem-based learning units.
JASA Design Process
Our teachers integrate the engineering design process by incorporating hands-on activities, project-based learning units, and problem-solving tasks. Teachers guide students through defining problems, brainstorming solutions, creating prototypes, testing, and refining their designs. This approach helps students develop critical thinking skills and practical application of STEM concepts.
